Cette semaine nous vous offrons un troisième volume du Dronadaire qui fut diffusé lundi soir dans le cadre des États Altérés.

Le Dronadaire, pour ceux qui ne seraient pas familiers avec la tradition, est un événement saisonnier qui offre à l'auditeur de sillonner la cosmographie de son propre esprit à l'aide de deux heures d'insolites sonorités soutenues.

Un parfait complément à une triste soirée passée dans l'isolation de l'hiver québécois, qui se veut cette fois abrasif comme le vent glacial mais aussi, par moments, délicat et mélancolique comme le reflet d'un lampadaire sur la neige fraîche.

Quelle belle surprise que fût ce paquet contenant quatre des dernières parutions de l'étiquette lituanienne NoBusiness que reçu CISM cette semaine. Regard sur Joe Morris
Rien de mieux qu'en ce début d'automne que de passer une journée avec le tantôt contrebassiste, mais toujours as de la guitare, Joe Morris. Le natif de Boston a rapidement compris que la satisfaction du public passait par l'interprétation multiplicative. Il résume bien sa position dans le plus récent numéro de la revue Signal To Noise lorsqu'il affirme

"Que le public vient vers toi et te dit "votre musique me rappelle Monk" ou qu'il dise "votre musique me fait penser à des martiens qui combattent des oiseaux", je réponds, merci. Un nouvel album de Mary Halvorson est toujours une invitation à la fête. C'est donc avec la nouvelle galette de son quintette le mix de nuit amorce sa 80e édition. Suivront les nouveautés de Rudresh Mahanthappa et son bon copain Bunky Green (oui, celui qui a remplacé Jackie McLean dans le groupe de Mingus!), la nouvelle formation de Mike Pride, From Bacteria To Boys, ainsi que le très acclamé Silent Movies du gand Marc Ribot. Nous en profiterons pour revenir sur la visite montréalaise de la saxophoniste Christine Sehnaoui avec une pièce de son album en duo avec la pianiste berlinoise Magda Mayas. Cette semaine, nous commençons avec un triplé quasi suédois de performances captées en concert avec les formations Swedish Azz, Angles et Atomic.

Finalement! Après 5 semaines de problèmes techniques et d'interruptions liées à la digitalisation radio-canadienne de notre monde, le mix de nuit est de retour pour son tant attendu Masadarathon. À noter que cette édition du mix de nuit débutera à 2h30 (au lieu du 2h00 habituel).
